2 Unique Landscape Elements That a Landscaping Service Can Install for You

When it comes to landscaping your yard, it is often going to be a lot more fun if you have some pieces incorporated into your landscape design that are a bit more unique than the traditional grass, trees, flowers, and other plants. However, trying to install these pieces yourself is often difficult, if not impossible, with your limited amount of landscaping knowledge.

Since you likely want these landscape elements to be done correctly the first time around, it'll be in your best interest to have them installed professionally by a landscaping service. This article will discuss two unique landscape elements that a landscaping service can install for you.

Pond

If you want to bring a bit of nature to your backyard, then a great landscape design element to have installed is a pond. When you start working with your landscapers to create this pond, you are going to be able to customize almost all of the details of the pond. This includes the location of the pond, the size and shape of the pond, as well as the exterior look of the pond.

Landscaping companies create man-made pond using a rock bed and dirt for the base. They then install a liner into place to stop the water from coming out. Finally a seal is put over the liner before water is poured inside. A pump and filter system is installed as well, to create oxygen for the pond and to keep the water clean. This allows both plant and animal life to successfully live within your man-made pond. You can then have rocks, flowers, and other greenery planted around the pond to give it a natural look.

Fire Pit

A fire pit is another unique landscape piece that is excellent for multiple reasons. The fire pit can be used during all four seasons of the year, and it's very easy to care for. To install a fire pit, your landscaper will begin by creating a fire pit that is surrounded by either bricks, stones, or a poured concrete frame. This creates a strong structure that won't be damaged by the heat of the fire.

To add to the fire pit, you are also going to be able to extend the brick, stone, or concrete work out from the fire pit so that you have a hard surface to place chairs, tables, and other items that you would like to sit around your fire pit.
